I wanted the forest world to have more areas than just the normal forest and the ghost forest. (For example, the underground forest.)

I made a forest worldmap combining all the forest levels posted to GitHub and FreeGameDev.
Having two Ghost Tree bosses is kind of silly. Maybe should Sasquatch (e.g. Yeti with different sprite) be boss of the level In the Heart of the Forest while Ghost Tree could be boss of the level The Origin of the Ghost Forest, thus giving the player to pick up to fight against either with Sasquatch or Ghost Tree.

Yes, it's a good idea. Just note that the new water can't be electrified. The electrifier needs an overhaul first.

And what about the water from the worldmap? Currently, the water in the worldmap of the forest world is only a blue area.

Yes, this is another mess. Currently there are two worldmap tilesets. "worldmap.strf" doesn't contain transparent shores and the wavy water and "ice_world.strf" doesn't contain forest tiles. The tileset handling needs an overhaul too, because there's no way to combine two tilesets so far.
