Nice teaser trailer.

I see you have changed engine? Now you plan to use the Hero of Allacrost engine.

Hehe, I almost thought I had a bad memory. ;) Actually I would have preferred a TBT or TBS game, something like Warhammer Epic 40,000: Final Liberation, but I wish you good luck with your project anyway.

I thought 2 days whether i should write this post.

Hey, now it is just me, who work on this project.
If somebody thought the project is dead, he is wrong.
And maybe it is a little bit to early to recruit one coder.
But if you dont affraid to join possibly one of the best looking 2D open source games ;) , you can do so.

Maybe I post this to nail me on my project even harder...and stop playing Genesis AD :twisted:

I've looked through 8000's forum, you've created really _excellent_ models of different monsters, it is not a beginner level, it is much higher..
I really wish you to find a coder as at least your animations look amazing! :)

Perhaps posting some example animations / renders here (and add them to the first post too) might help attract developers?

Also post on opengameart.org so other projects might be able to find them more easily and further spread knowledge of project eightk.

i dont want it yet, later, when the time is right. Then i will create again an youtube trailer and will "aggresive" look for coders.

Surely the time is right already. The earlier you get a developer the sooner the game starts to get made. Development is a lengthy process!

Exactly what type of game do you want to make? Judging from your very sparse description in your first post here and the description on your website, along with your renders, I first think about "Heroes of Might and Magic", is that the correct type of game or something else? Also I think you should probably detail the backstory a little bit more explaining what will be the purpose of the game in relation to the backstory. Also what I do not really get why the words "open source" has been put in the backstory:
But there is nowdays a new myth: When the open source was discovered, some astrologists claimed that a man will appear in 8000 A.D. who will bring peace. Some people dont believe it in, but some are still waiting for him. Who is that that person? Can he lead the world to peace?

What is this about?

Very nice renders by the way. You seem to very productive, I just hope you will get a coder soon :) I wish you luck :)

@charlie

thx, you do a great job here, I post one model on opengameart.org
Hope will find time to upload all.

@svenskmand

the game is (like Hero of Allacrost) a RPG with a turn based combat. Its more like Final Fantasy 7.
Yeah, the background story is really rude, but this is not what Im focus, I will focus on art.
There are some many people (in RPGs-forums) who would like to create a own RPG but they cant code, they cant create art. And this people should have fun to create a detailed backstory for this project.

the word open source:
I like the word itself ;D

I think today the open source culture(Firefox for example) is much more powerfull than the industry (WindowzzZzzZzzZz.....), it pure power! And in the game you find a synonym. The open source is Gaia, its the pure life energy.

8000 A.D. who will bring peace. Some people dont believe it in, but some are still waiting for him. Who is that that person? Can he lead the world to peace?

This is a secret. Joke ;D
The main character is the guy who will end the chaos on the earth and bring peace.

@oln
Before I started my project I searched a project to help (its a long story and I dont want to tell it)
And I already watch the videos for OpenDungeons
It is maybe a good game, but its really not the kind of games I play sorry....

Hey,

just want to show the art progress, here a huge worm/wurm/wyrm?

done in zbrush.
The project is a 2D game, so we dont need to care about polygons, maybe my workstation will be unhappy to rendering the animations.....

and this are his babies
