The real problem is that the accusations against RMS were largely unsubstantiated, and exaggerated to try to stifle his participation in an event created by his own organisation. Meanwhile, Red Hat has a code of conduct, but its owners still won't apologise for their active role in the Holocaust (While Bayer apologised, IBM has not.) I don't think double standards can get much worse than that, the world is pretty much upside down at this point.
