Glow effect bug in 0.9.2-RC1

Glow effect bug in 0.9.2-RC1

Postby 0zone0ne » 18 Jun 2016, 11:46

Hi, I've been playing the 0.9.2 release candidate 1 and I have been noticing a strange visual bug relating to lighting effects in the game. I'm not sure how to describe it well, but it looks like all glow effects are being displaced above the objects that are producing the glow. I've taken a few screenshots to better illustrate the issue (the bug happens in all tracks, not just the tracks in the screenshots).

This issue also occurs when I run the 0.9.1 stable release, and looks exactly the same.
The outline effect around item boxes and nitro canisters is not affected, and looks normal.

I am running STK on Mac OS 10.11.5
Processor: 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB
(I don't know what hardware information is relevant so I just pasted all of it :p)

Looks like a lense flare gone wrong. (Possibly missing some minimum threshold value.)

That is very weird, definitely not normal. Do you think you could open a ticket on github? I have no idea if we'll be able to fix this though, we'd need an OpenGL expert with access to that hardware and drivers to properly debug it
