Vexi-based Games

Postby charlie » 27 Aug 2010, 02:56

I am one of the principle authors of the Vexi project (web, project), a user interface platform that runs over the web.

I have also created a few games using it, all open source of course.

Vexitris

At the moment there is only one that is really playable, Vexitris, which is part of the VeGaLib project.

"Oh noes another tetris clone  why?"

Short answer? I'm not a great programmer, so it's a useful exercise for me. Long answer? I have never played a tetris game since Acid Tetris that has particularly satisfied me in terms of the way it plays. I'm about 50% on the way to correcting that. Oh, and of course to compete with Kiba.

Roadmap
  • Play online i.e. don't need to download manually
  • I'm not quite happy with the timing and key response
  • Music and sound effects
  • A better, animated smiley face
  • Game balance i.e. speed up etc needs working out
  • Other bits of polish
  • Store scores online

Does it have multiplayer? Tetris is only fun if I can humiliate everyone else :p
