First Track

First Track

Postby CovertIII » 04 May 2014, 20:38

A couple of months ago I worked on making a track. I added some ideas that I thought would be neat to have in some tracks. Some ideas worked, some didn't. This track is more a sketch and a draft. It was also my first experience with Blender. A lot of the textures didn't apply right, like the trees and inside the temple. Also, it is meant to be played in reverse mode. Once I laid down the drivelines and built some scenery, I realized it was backwards. It works both ways though. I don't plan on adding more to it or finishing it due to lack of motivation. I thought I would share it so more could enjoy it.

Also, I included the blend file if someone really wanted to fix some of the issues with it.

That's a pity. Is there anything we can do to motivate you (or what did we do wrong that you are not motivated to finish the track)? It would be nice to see a new track in our addons repositories ;) The track has some good ideas, and it would be nice to see it finished.

Cheers,

There was nothing you guys did wrong. Other things are taking priority in my life now. It took a bit of time to learn blender and also how to make tracks, and it will take some time to finish it. I may return to it in a few months or during the winter, but not immediately. Thanks for the encouragement though.

Hi CovertIII!

Thank you for uploading your track. It is a promising first track.
There are many interesting and even new track parts to drive on.
