Can someone explain the Story Mode math to me?

Postby bovineuniversity » 13 Jan 2014, 23:45

So I had 126 points... completed a challege, it said I was awarded 10 points. I then had 127 points. Completed another challenge, it said I won 8 points. I now have 129 points.
I am pretty much to the point where I have completed all of the challenges that I can, but I don't have enough points to do anything else (next highest one is 135 I think). Unless this is intentional and you have to do every possible thing to be able to advance?

Hi,

what likely happened is that you "upgraded" a silver cup into a gold up, or upgraded from bronze to silver. When you upgrade a challenge you already had, you lose the old cup when gaining the new one, which explains why you only have one more point (a silver cup is worth one point more than a bronze cup, etc.). We should improve this to communicate better what happens

And yes, the gates where the final challenge is will only open when you have beaten all challenges - though any difficulty will do, you don't need to beat them at hard

OK, thanks that explains it. So I guess to move to the challenge that requires 135 points I need to figure out where I am missing points. I thought I had gone through everything, but will double check.

There is an easy way to spot any challenge you may have missed, just look at the minimap in the lower left corner, each challenge is a little icon. Beaten challenges are marked with a trophy
