[MAP] Exotic 1.1 (time trial)

I am the type of person that likes to save their geometry to be used into a map when necessary.
In this map, it was that said "model storage" type of map.
Then i noticed that it could be an good time trial map if i changed things a little.
This is the end result.
EDIT: Maked the path more clear and easier for people.
The red carpet is slower too.

This map looks fairly interesting. At least, I'd like to run though it once just to see what it is like. Unfortunately, though, I seem unable to extract the rar archive. If you could reupload it as another type of file, for example .zip, I should be able to open it. If you don't want to do that (which I can quite understand) then I'll hopefully just catch the map on RE once and give it a try then. From what I can say right now, though: nice screenshots, at least. They do show a good variation of what the map could be like, and work great for grabbing people's interest.
Hats, Afros, wings and raptor feet. This game is showing progress indeed.

It is in .zip now, no problems :D

I like this sort of stuff, a nice sandbox to explore.
Some parts may be a bit irritating to the eye, but never mind.
It seems the track of the tank is missing.
I like your hollow 9-spheres, clean and simple.
The ladder is a nice element where you need to crouch to gain height.

After having played it, my biggest problem is that I kept falling through the top mouth part of PacMan. Besides that, the map was fun enough. Due to the way it plays, the time it takes to get through and the fairly random models, it's not a map which I would think should be included in Red Eclipse, but it would be fun for a custom time trial server (speaking of those, I wonder where they went...)

This map fuxed with my mind.

I figured out how to get on top of the tank and then Pac-Man, but getting on top of the brick platform was too irritating (10 deaths on average) so I had to do it in edit mode. It would sure be nice if you placed a respawn point on top of the platform or on the tank.

The moving red floor honestly makes me dizzy after a while.

I have no idea what to do after I get inside the grey structure with a shard of light down the middle. How on earth do I climb up that giant thing?

Otherwise, it's unbelievably funky, but I like it. :) I think it's a bit too 'out there' to be included in the default distribution of Red Eclipse, but it's good fun nevertheless.

Yeah, i should had maked it a bit more easy for the people :v
Like i said earlier, it really wasn't planned to be an time trial map anyway.
I believe that this map will get bigger and bigger over the time, since i always update the "geometry storage" map.

Here is a replay file that should help you. It is far from perfect, but contains a funny glitch where i got stuck at a sphere for a while and was launched away from it in a spectacular manner XD
It should give you a good idea how you can complete a lap in a reasonable time.

And yeah, I also miss the trial servers, so when I play, I usually fire up my own little trial server for a few minutes. exotic will have to go in its sv_trialmaps ;)

About the sphere problem, i don't think there's any way to fix it.
