Google Summer of Code: Accepted Students

Google Summer of Code: Accepted Students

Postby hiker » 28 May 2013, 02:45

Hi,

just to let everybody here know: we have three students accepted that will work on SuperTuxKart during the Google Summer of Code:

  • Hilnius: Network Core for SuperTuxkart - implementing network multiplayer (but not lobby or rewind)
  • Cand: Graphical improvements
  • Uni: Networking lobby
Unfortunately this also means that we could not accept several other exceptional proposals, since we 'only' had three slots available. I've published more details and some statistics on our blog.

Please welcome those students - I hope we all will have a good and useful time together, and make some nice and visible progress with SuperTuxKart.

Cheers,
Joerg

Hello everyone ;) I'm one of the accepted students, if you want some more information about my project feel free to contact me!

Link to my additional information : https://google-melange.appspot.com/gsoc ... /uni/41001. (Note this is not my complete proposal.)

I'll probably maintain some kind of blog where I keep everyone up to date with my progress.

Great to be here,
Uni

Welcome! I am personally very excited about network play, this would be a welcome new challenge for me! (I am quite good at STK and even on Expert mode I can beat the AIs very easily)
