Improvement of skirpy-kart

i started to improve the old skirpy-kart

at the moment without driver

I want to add that, for 8.1: we REALLY should replace bad kart such as elephpant, mozilla, hexley. I don't understand why they are still there whereas there are lovely premium add-on kart such as Amanda, Minix or New evil tux.
Maybe you can improve karts that are currently in the game in the future ?

funny losing-animation planned: breaking horn

if playing losing animation, the horn breaks and skirpy puts the horn back to "normal" and then it breaks again and so on...

Hey man that means you can work on animations
In the future (i don't think 0.8.1 ^^) we will need animation and voices: look at this: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=4003
Each voice = one animation IMHO (note that a character could also speak without moving and its contrary)

But we will need a list of locked character (Each character will be lot's of work) ; that's why i always says mozilla should be replace (-> his size is too big, he can't be interchangeable ! ) elephpant and puffy will also be a real problem...not hexley for example because in the future we will have to choose a kart in the existing one (Kart of emule, kart of pidgin with different characteristics).

Even if i understand we could like character such as mozilla, elephpant, puffy (because they are in the game since lot's of time... an attachment to them can exists )
Purely objectively and without jokking they are the worst character because of future technical problems: so we can't work on them QED.

Oh NO !!! Puffy Is good and animation same !!!!

I agree for Mozilla, it's dificult kart and elephant, the texture is medium bot the kart is funny !

i took the blend-file from the Media Repo

This is where "Skirpy" enters TuxKart for the very first time, under a different name.

Based on the age of the original, it would have had to be GPL licensed. It's interesting to dig this far back into SVN, I don't recognize any of the committers. This is even before Hiker got involved.

Unless Auria or hiker say otherwise, I think it would be safe to put in the license that your kart is based on Skirpy, which was licensed under GPL and created by grumbel.

a question about licensing:

I don't know, who made the kart and which license it was, because in Media Repo there wasn't a license-file,

should i write, that i found the blend-file in Media Repo, or what should i write now??

Nice icon so far but i want to suggest a few changes.

the horns are really good, but:

>> the right eye should be a bit smaller
>> it is a bit "overlighted", make better shadows

in game the skirpy-kart is red for me, it shows "not approved", but on addonsite it doesn't show this
i tried to "apdate the addon-list in game", but that didn't work

and the src-files aren't approved yet

For the winning animation, horns light of all colors. And skirpy stands on this kart and hello hand.
