Theory is a thing; to have a reproducible experiment is another one. That's where it's hurt.

In the Cold Fusion fluff, he's not the first one and certainly not the last.

Well the point is that there are supposedly medium scale running versions of this by an Italian guy called Rossi, which were always put in the "scam" realm as he thinks it is "cold fusion". If the above NASA researcher is right however, it is a different nuclear power effect all together, and could actually work.
