Testing new Windows installer

Testing new Windows installer

Postby hiker » 15 Feb 2013, 13:56

Hi,

I've did some work on the windows installer, by adding an image, and a link to the voting page - we are more than 50 votes behind, so perhaps we can get a few more votes this way.

Unfortunately I don't have access to a 'clean' windows system (without Visual Studio and all its libs installed), so could someone see if the installer works properly? It did on the machines I tested it on, but I had it in the past that certain problems are not detected on a machine with VS installed.

It's on our download page at http://sourceforge.net/projects/supertu ... e/download

Once it is confirmed this package will replace our default windows version for the next week or so. After that I'll upload a new installer with a neutral STK image - any volunteers to make one?

Note: No code changes, the actual code is still 0.8.

Thanks!
Joerg

A top hat does not an iconic image make.
But it sure does improve things.
Hey pal, I took an oath for justice! "In happy days or tightest tights..." or something like that.

Compare the picture with this one and I guess you know where the top hat came from.

Sure, it was just a response to jymis that alleged top hats are something inherently special that makes it impossible to use in an image if we someday somehow in the future gets a mascot with one as well...
