[PROPOSAL] Lower the amount of bots in multi-coop

Should we only add one bot per player to each team in multi-coop?

[PROPOSAL] Lower the amount of bots in multi-coop

Let's face it, multi-coop is brutal
2013-02-03-171212_1360x768_scrot.png

For every player, there are 6(!) bots, spread over three different teams. This is different from normal coop, where for every player, there are 2 bots.
This means that multi-coop is practically 3 times harder. Depending on the gamemode, the bots attacking each other makes it easier (ctf/etc.) or harder (deathmatch).

So, here is my proposal:
For every player, add 1 bot to each team in multi.
This means that for every player, there will be 3 bots, which is still more than normal coop, but only 1.5 times that, not 3 times.

I don't really see the point in bots being in different teams... why would you want to score bots that depend on the same AI technology separately? Co-op is about the result of games between human players and AIs, not human players and 3 teams of otherwise identical bots. So why not make co-op and multi mutually exclusive?
You just wasted 3 seconds of your life reading this.

Unless a mutator combination is broken beyond repair (like arena-instagib was), I see no reason to make them exclusive. The mutator right now is only slightly broken in my opinion, and we can easily fix it. If anything, making them mutually exclusive would only make it more "broken", as you can't play it at all then anymore (and now it is only quite hard).

I tried it already, it was too easy on default settings. Multi coop is nothing more than a curiosity for the insane, like many mutant or combos. I'm not about to remove it if it isn't broken, and I'm not going to waste time on it, especially this close to (past) the release date.

(Automatically) raise the bot skill level first. Then match the number of players to each computer team. I thought I would chime in about it.

If I raise the skill any further in coop they will be insta-killing aimbots, you can't compensate for the fact they are very rudimentary compared to the skill off a human in RE.

I feared as much. Thank you for the explanation.

Oh, really, no rush! There are DEFINITELY much more important things to be done than this.
