XxDarkusxX (187.101.113.107) was a teamkiller with a score of -42 when he left the game. I had to drop my screencapture of the score in order to get his IP when he left so I know it is just my word against his. Anyway, here is the capture of him leaving. Is there an easier way to get someone's IP?
Cheers

Since 1.3(.1) there is:
{l Code}: {l Select All Code}
/echo (getclienthost <cn>)
where <cn> is the client number.

arand,
Is there a practical way to bind that string to a key?

One way to do it would be (in autoexec.cfg):
{l Code}: {l Select All Code}
showip = [ echo (getclienthost $arg1) ]
bind F8 [ saycommand "/showip " ]

But there's probably nicer ways though.

There are indeed.
{l Code}: {l Select All Code}
/showhostname 1

Shows the hostname (IP) of each client on the scoreboard.

I would like to thank you, arand for your speed in answering my questions and you, ZeroKnight for giving me the perfect toggle for my situation. It makes the process of capturing a negative score and corresponding ip address easy, fast and accurate. For those who want an idea of what you may be missing, here is a screen capture of /showhostname 1 in action.

Notice the internet protocol addresses after the client numbers.

Here are two team killers. One got worse by the end of the game, 68.41.26.26 at -77, and one left before the score was too noticeable to anyone outside the blue team, 98.145.113.211. See the screen capture.

Back to my small topic:

Is there a policy telling us how to behave, if there are people any clantag for no reason? Of course, if they are not in that clan at all...

Ignoring them is not a solution at all, since he plays in the name of the clan then and the real members get angry by that.

There's nothing in the guidelines on player/clan impersonation. Server admins can respond to players doing this to their own discretion, but Moderators cannot do anything about it.
It is very annoying, but that's just how it is. People throw Wazu tags on all the time :/

The best thing you can do is always keep your clan rosters updated, so you can prove a troublemaker isn't really associated with you. At least you can save some face.

Yeah. I know about him of course.

I think of IP banning him, if he doesnt remove it. He didnt even reply to us, when we told him to do remove it.

Anyway, if there was a well-working login system, we wouldnt need to talk about this topic at all.

Thank you for your help.

{l Code}: {l Select All Code}
* The use of kick and/or ban should only be used when a user violates sections
  of this document. If in doubt, moderators should seek the advice of their
  peers (other players and/or moderators) before proceeding with disciplinary
  action. A moderator may kick and/or ban for other reasons if there is due
  cause to do so.

* If a moderator believes that any behaviour not covered by this document
  should result in disciplinary action, and they have the support of their
  peers, they should contact the Red Eclipse Team immediately to propose an
  amendment.

He was using a speedhack script orginally discovered by user "pk". I warned him, and he stopped using the script, but be on the lookout; next time I see him hacking I will global ban

Also, should this bot impersonating be allowed?
If you will notice, bot [0] on the Alpha team has an IP Address.

I've seen a lot of these impersonators, and it seems like harmless fun to me.

Up to a point. It's really disorienting when you jump into a server (or others come in) and turns out half of the "bots" are actual players. It's kind of obvious based on the difference in movement and styles and such, but still rather confusing.

Eek, I'm sorry for not having dealt with him right at that moment. The way everyone reacted made me believe it was more of a playful joke between you and a friend which you didn't mind (and I couldn't identify the real you as you both had a number). Sorry about that!

Anyone here play Sauerbraten? I'm wondering how good the team kill kick is working. If someone wants to draft a proposal for submission to the tracker, that would be great.

I played it sometimes, also since the new version, but haven't seen it too. I would like such system, because I saw many teamkillers in a match there. Although I hope that you won't be kicked too quickley. Some teamkills are lastly accidents only :).
