Bomb tick too loud

Bomb tick too loud

Postby SxperiaS » 30 Oct 2012, 19:20

Hello,

i am enjoying SuperTuxKart a lot and would like to make a suggestion, me and my brothers play it a lot and if possible could ou please create a volume control for bombs?
It is really annoying listening to many boms ticking at a loud volume....

Best regards

You could use http://audacity.sf.net/ to edit the sound file of the tick to solve this for you individually.
Is this an acceptable solution for you?
Anybody else experiencing this problem?

Nope. But if you could change sound volumes from the game it would make stuff a lot more fun.
Keep your mouth closed while chewing your food! That's ALL I hear.

Or just editing supertuxkart/data/sfx/sfx.xml.
Hey pal, I took an oath for justice! "In happy days or tightest tights..." or something like that.

More generally, all audio is problematic in multiplayer mode, since there are multiple listeners which OpenAL doesn't support and well fall back to having sounds not fade away in the distance. Eventually we should make some fix for that but not available at this time I'm afraid
