Thanks a lot for that - that was the first time someone except the developers like the new skidding. But perhaps we are on the right track. But we are still tuning, including the AI - tbh, atm it appears too strong - a first for us ;)

Thanks!

Ouch, I had not tested svn version for some time, that new skidding thing is really disturbing, I don't know when I should skid anymore, it's useless in turns and complicated to use in straight lines…

Yes it's complicated, but it's nice. Otherwise it would be too easy to win. In my opinion it would be better if skidding could be enabled and disabled from the options.

Sheesh, what is it with people missing their sharp turn? Skidding is skidding is skidding, not sharp turn. Slow down already! That way you can take very sharp turns.
Hey pal, I took an oath for justice! "In happy days or tightest tights..." or something like that.

We are aware this is a somewhat painful change, but after a little getting used to it works well. Especially, please remember it's not final yet. I know for instance settings were recently committed to make skidding more appropriate to use in sharp turns

I think the main thing to keep in mind is that now with skidding you need to anticipate a little more, i.e. you need to start skidding a little before you're in the curve.
