Weird weapon model when spectating...

I'm using RE v1.3.1 on 64-bit Arch Linux with an Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 and have this weird bug when spectating other players when I'm dead. The weapon model kinda keeps its position, but the camera turns around the model when the player moves and shows me different views of the model the player is holding. Kinda difficult to describe, so I have put some screenshots below.

This behaviour happens 50% of the time to me, and once I have it with a player, it also has this same behavious when I skip to other players. When I'm the one playing I never have this problem. Can someone reproduce this and is there someting I can do to fix this? Possibly some variable or corrupt config file?

Hi, this is a common error, no matter what OS or such. It's just a bug, it happens randomly, I'm pretty sure it can't be fixed with anything ATM. To fix it I just switch who I am spectating

Are you using a different mouse input mode?

I got this using default mouse settings, you don't even have to move your mouse for it to happen

I'm using a standard 2-button + scroll USB mouse with cable. Nothing fancy at all. Arand and others are seeing the same thing.

Two small workarounds (the first one puts spectator in third person, which is better IMO, the second one just hides weapon model, which is better too since it doesn't obstruct your view).

Can you show me the contents of your "config.cfg" and "init.cfg" (also "autoexec.cfg" if you have one)?

Sure I can... when I get home... :-/
But you're insinutating that most of the players don't have this problem?

At the very least, I can't reproduce the problem, so I need to diagnose what is causing it.

I've seen this issue before, as I remember it randomly from time to time on 1.2.
ballistic also claimed to have seen it throughout 1.1 and 1.2, so it seems like the issue is not new.

I've tried to reproduce it on 1.3.1 now, but have been unable to so, so far. And I can't remember if there were any particular circumstances which made it happen, unfortunately.

In addition to the configs... Are you able to see the issue in singleplayer or only online? If you record a demo offline, do you see the issue consistently at some points?

I am thinking this is a server or client setting, because I have never seen this. The only thing I have experienced is the loss of the view of the weapon but still able to fire it.

I've had this same problem as well, both on 1.2 and currently in 1.3; both on Windows and Arch Linux (current). I've never bothered to look for it offline, as I rarely do offline play (and even less offline spec'ing).
