How to exec cfg files mac

OK so on PC i just do exec file.cfg but on my mac, i put a cfg in the same folder as redeclipse.app and i exec'd it and it said it couldn't read. what do i do?

Put it in: /Users/<name>/Library/Application Support/redeclipse
