Well like I've been saying you have to fill out all of the server config lines properly.

I'd say to force duel you'd make it the default mutator then use the mutatorfilterlock line to lock all the other mutators = Duel only.

That is the basic method though, just use the server config - it should be able to set it up how you want it.

lol
I will say 4th time, it is not possible to do what ballistic wants using only vars. It seems that you don't know about what you are talking. Check if what you are saying will work. It won't. For my end, I won't say 5th time the same thing.

Uhhh. okay, well like I said I am preoccupied and I guess am just not paying enough attention to this thread, what is it that he wants? Duel only. Okay, my response is you can make a server Duel only.

If that isn't what "you" want then I guess I don't understand What "you" (ballistic) want.

I just always try to help, even when I am busy. :P

pskosinski {l Wrote}:You can setup server to have only duel duel mutator enabled. But ballistic wants to have enabled all mutators but every combination must to include duel. So: duel-arena, duel-insta, duel-resize-vampire, but not arena-vampire, etc. It is probably not possible using only vars (anyone can confirm or deny?).

Misunderstandings? Anyways, duel only should do fine for a tournament, I don't see a reason for vampire-jetpack-resize-expert-ballistic-duel ;)

Hm. BTW, the one with the right idea here is pk. If no one is against duel-only, then I guess that's what we will do, because it will undoubtedly be better than the alternative :)

I think I have the full list of server commands/settings now, and I will send them out to those server admins who have agreed to host. If you want a copy so you can host, please let me know! the more the merrier.

Thanks!
Guys, the signup deadline has been extended to Thursday, because 7 people in 7 days isn't exactly the influx of people I was originally looking for :( This means the tournament will probably start Friday next weekend(hopefully).

If the rules are too restrictive, please let me know, and if you have any questions please ask. All I want is a good time in Red Eclipse

I'm excited to particpate in this tournament, but I'm worried about facing people who are REAL pros. I consider myself a noob, and if I'm going up against a player who will most likely wipe the floor with me it wouldn't be a pretty fun duel IMHO. <:/

Don't worry, not everybody participating will be pros *points at himself* :)

This can also be a learning experience; I will release all the demos of duel matches I get so that people can get better and improve their own skills, and maybe some commentaries will happen.

Rules have been updated to (hopefully) be less restrictive and more friendly! ^^

Alrighty everybody, the tournament will start! You will shortly get an email with your partner's name and email address to coordinate times, maps, and modes, and such.

The server thing... well that sadly didn't work out on time, so try to get a server with nobody else on it :| And remember VOTE DUEL! Otherwise game does not count because scoring will be screwed up D:

Remember to play THREE matches with your partner and provide evidence of scores!

All games must be completed by Saturday, September 22nd, 2012. If there is a problem, question or comment, please email me! :)

Happy fragging!

Sadly, I have only gotten two results out of the 8 matches that we had scheduled, which means this tournament might have to be canceled. This is sad, as the last one did so well and we could have had so much fun with this. However if I do not get results by Wednesday tourney will be shut down. Thanks for your support

I'd love to join in, but my NVIDIA drivers are causing complete system crashes anywhere from 1 to 60 minutes in. I'm sorry :(

Yes. I gave everyone a week and two days to complete one match ingame. I got two results out of the eight matches in that time. I rest my case :(

Then you should just make it so that those people forfeit and continue the tournament with those that did actually play and win.

Nice tournament list (both, design of the list itself and the involved players indeed :)). I wish everybody a great match and good look in the pit. Let the games begin :D .

:::edit:::

I meant *luck*, but a good look is also ok :D . The tournament is canceled already? Hopefully it can be started some day. It would be sad otherwise.
