No just merely stating that this game isn't suppose to be the games that other people play, my intent was to portray the fact that multiple people have asked for vehicles, on the forums and in my servers, but I simply don't think that is a good idea and I was offering my experience of past FPS's that have been ruined with such "ideas".

It is basically trying to make this game into something it isn't.

Now maybe, you could get away with adding some kind of space vehicles. But again! Other games have done this and things are good when they are unique and don't simply try to copy what other games do, that is the beauty of creativity - making something different then everyone else.

I am not trying to put anyone down or their ideas/thoughts I am just saying that consider that this is an Arena FPS and the focus is people vs's people, not tanks vs people (or some other variant). Like I said before, all the other games I experienced that added vehicles lost their quality in the "people vs people" part of the game, everytime.

Some ideas work for some things, some don't. Personally I think this game only needs some polishing, not exactly any additions.

No problems, but yeah - I do have a problem with vehicles. I have played FPS's for a decade+ as I grew up (born in 88) and everytime vehicles were introduced to an FPS it completely ruined the experience, they are very difficult to balance and give too many advantage to a single solider. Typical examples are Battlefield games where a single soldier can operate an entire battle tank, which is impractical at best - but gives a complete advantage when you go into the person vs person perspective, while on foot someone cannot counter certain aspects of vehicles, especially when the developers do not introduce proper counter measures to balance the game.

So I have deduced over this amount of time that the best FPS experience lies in Infantry vs Infantry, or other locked set of rules. The best example of a fun infantry only FPS is Delta Force Land Warrior where the classes were balanced to specific weapons and it was how the player used them that gave their advantage, IE: Skill. It is hard to find a balanced FPS like this now'a'days, they are all about the graphics and "special features" like destructible set piece buildings (BF3).

Anyway, not to derail the thread or anything so back on topic.
