Hi I'm Alpha Red.
I'm primarily a 3D artist and animator, though I have been working on my texturing/skinning work.

any certain projects you were looking at? i think SuperTuxKart (viewforum.php?f=16) is looking for an animator for some intro cutscenes for story mode. (mentioned here: http://supertuxkart.blogspot.com/2012/0 ... ckens.html)

Hello there,

my nickname probably implies I signed up for some eat'em'up game, but I found this forum because of SuperTuxKart ;)

I'm a hobby programmer and wrote some unfinished and stupid self-made games, mostly remakes of older games. Thus I also learned some 3d modelling (but I'm really bad at it!) and got some clues about other things you do if you're making a game alone.
I think I will contribute some stuff to the SuperTuxKart game like doing some tracks, with the side effect of getting better at 3d modelling!

See ya around!

Hello everyone,

I'm Konstantin, a student from Germany. I entered this forum because I'd like to:

a) offer free music that I produced myself. I'm also interested in working on projects if sb. would let me do the audio.

b) learn more about video game audio. This is because I'm totally new to this field. Doing this kind of stuff for free seems to me a good idea because it's primarily for the fun of it.

As I can tell from the other posts in this thread there are other people who have some experience with audio design/music composing. Talking about this would help me a lot. Could sb. tell me if there is a music related thread already or if not, where I can start one myself? That would be very helpful.

The last post before this one is from 2009... and now it's 2012. I hope someone remembers to moderate this.

Regards,

MN

Hi and welcome Konstantin/MN,

Not sure why the last post appears to be from 2012 to you. Perhaps you only looked at the first page of this thread?

There are not many music threads it seems, so feel free to start a thread in viewforum.php?f=6 .

What kind of music do you make?

Oh and if you feel like recording your war scream: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3250 :)

lionheart: hi and welcome, feel free to put your project's forum on our list Open source game development web forums. Also check out Hardwar, it has CC-BY-SA licensed art and concept art that you might want to use.

Kuzucuk: hi and welcome, I hope the Turkish RE translation will work out.

Hey everyone! I'm here to discuss SuperTuxKart track creation. I also produce music, and I hope to put one of my songs(this one: http://soundcloud.com/qbgeekjtw/pixel8lr-wip-2) as the background music. :D

Hello all,

I've been a casual RE player for about a month and I am loving it thus-far. I am from england, and would like to positively contribute to the development of RE at some point, be that in developing, testing, or within the community.

I'm pretty new at all this, but I have enjoyed area and "twitch" shooters for years. I am a FOSS advocate when possible, and I believe that (idealistically) projects like this should be appreciated for how remarkable they really are in 'the mainstream'.

Looking to find my place in a community!

Hi everyone, I'm from México and I have been lurking for sometime now.

I like some CRPG's and Roguelike games, and every other fun game that I can get my hands on.

A long time ago I was studying CS in some curious thing called Software Engineering, but soon after I get into that, I realize that I was completely useless on that, and discover than I'm more a kind of an artisan than a scientist. So ... I abandon my effort to be one of this brilliant people :(

But my real reason to get to University was to make video games, so I'm trying to get to the 'light side' again.

Recently switch to Emacs (I was using Vim), and I'm trying to understand how Ubuntu/Launchpad/Bazaar is working.

I hope that eventually I complete some little projects.

Hi everybody.
I am Anemotion.
I have two threads on http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthr ... highlight= and http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthr ... highlight=
It is my dream to create a car racing game which can be used for business advertising in my country.
Creating not only awareness of Blender and it's abilities, but also business opportunities.
I took on 3D to make money and not keep myself busy with stuff that just draws me away from reality as many do.
Gamers are increasing, but unemployment is also increasing and so poverty sinks in.
Therefore I want to build games using free tools which I can enable not only myself, but also others to make a few bucks for doing their favorite thing (Blender heading).
Poverty can be eradicated when people realize that IF they use their God given skills and passion for what they are doing can be used to make a living for themselves and help those less fortunate.

Just my 5 cents worth.

Postby feenix » 01 Aug 2012, 16:44

Greetings programs!

The name is feenix. I dabble in quite a few things really. By day I'm a contractor providing technical support services to both business and residential clients. I also promote the usage of open-source software and Linux through this channel. By night, I'm an independent software developer. I've published applications for the Android platform, write custom software for micro ISVs and also work on open-source projects. Some of my source is available on GitHub. I also have a YouTube channel where I post several kinds of videos, the more popular ones being Linux tutorials and play-thrus of various video games with commentary (mostly NES/SNES titles).

I do game occasionally. Not as much as I used to though since most of my time is devoted to everything above. I'm really into Minecraft, Mass Effect, Fallout, and Final Fantasy.

Currently I've got several projects in the queue. Two for Android, one for Windows/Linux, a few videos for YouTube that need edited, and a few sample games to release as tutorials.

Hi all! My name is Jim Cook and I am an independent musician and music producer. I have been making and producing original music and cover songs for over 5 years and I feel I have now reached a professional standard with my music.

I signed up here to offer free music to game developers, I can work in a variety of different styles and I enjoy working to a specification so I thought I may as well get some experience, and any recognition is a bonus. I'm planning to make a thread myself but if anyone that sees this is interested don't hesitate to contact me :)

Hi, I am Beliar and, as python programmer, was a long time contributor to PARPG until before it was officially declared as ceased. Since around March this year I started working on a project that has its roots in PARPG. I also contributed to the "Geyser" GUI system of mudlet and some German translations for UFO: AI, though not recently.
