Yes I mean number 2, I didn't look at the numbers, sorry. For the kart, you've got a point with the shadow, I'll fix this problem. For the front of the car, I thought that it would give it more shapes, but it's true that it doesn't look that good.

Thanks a lot for your help, I included your icon (the grey one) with its License. Now that I've submitted the addon, I just have to wait for the moderator's approval.

Indeed, I'm going to visit this forum quite frequently, since I've decided to make a new kart, the Frenouille.

qubodup {l Wrote}:Hm.. an anti-joke regarding windowmaker (or is it?)

Hahaha I didn't think of that- but thats a good reference - they should have called it the GNU PC Widowmaker hehehe

qubodup {l Wrote}:I'd say oh well, "these kind of old timers look like that" .
I guess I agree that it doesn't look sporty at all (as does the Android tank for example). Super Mario Wii has some strange retro designs but all look pretty sporty for example. http://www.mariowiki.com/File:Daytripper-DiddyKong.png http://www.mariowiki.com/File:ClassicDragster-Mario.png
I'm sure there are players who will love the design though.

I understand what kind of old-time car you are referring to, but IMO kalado's design looked more like a cartoon than a road-going automobile (IF that is what you meant.) Plus - I have a fault with the wheel arches - they actually look like they are crushing the wheels. BIGGER and SMOOTHER! :)

Well, Mario Kart's karts were certainly not as disproportionate as this one is (no offense). Even their color schemes referred to the olden days of motoring.
Also, it MIGHT just help to have an immaculate attention to detail that comes with being the third biggest biggest video game maker in the world, and the ability to create thousands of textures for every bit of the vehicle ;)

There IS a kart in Mario Kart that is similar to this one, though....

Iridium {l Wrote}:That kart design... ugh. Looks all fat and bloated IMO but whatever floats your boat man, your design.

For sure, it isn't a sporty car, and I didn't really think about this when I chose the car. For my next kart, I'll take your remark into account. But I don't think the fat aspect of the car is so bad, I'll keep it like this.

Well, it's basically because the grille is so huge I think :) what would help is fix the wheel arches (I explained that earilier) and straighten the grille. That should straighten the hood. I know the look you might be going for with that, but that generallyonly works for streamlined, laid back cars slammed to the ground. This kart is fat. :P

I've got a slightly modified kart version. What do you think?

Old vs new:

Nice! Can you bring the headlights slightly farther forwards and smooth out the wheel arches?
