Information:
The beautiful and delicate Maiden Hero. She is very light armored, making her unable to take much heat, however she makes up with her speed and everlasting grace. She is very warm-blooded, and her magic of choice shows this endefinately. The Maiden can also see the Invisible, when strong enough, and turn Invisible herself. The Maiden may be a costly creature, but when used correctly, she can be very effective in battle. Outside of battle, however, lies her prime usage of motivation and the increase of efficency.
Behavior in Dungeon:
The Maiden's prime use is inside the dungeon.
She gets along very well with nearly all beings, except for other females, or competition as she sees. The only other thing the Maiden doesn't fully get along with, is Undead units, as they have no emotions and she cannot encourage them. The Maiden has a personal liking of Wizards, Warlocks, Monks, and other similar magical creatures, due to their high intelligence. She also is fond of Knights for their protection of her.
The Maiden is best in the Library, however, she is very compatable with whatever job you give her. She is very loyal to her master, and will follow whatever orders will please him or her. She also is very caring for her other comrades, and is loyal to all of them. Her favorite place to hang out is the Temple, and sometimes will take a Wizard, or one of her other favorite creatures, to the Temple to pray. Most of the time, however, she likes to sleep in her Lair after accomplishing all tasks.
The Maiden is most famous for her Encouraging. When she is working in a room, all creatures become "Encouraged" by her, and work harder. The effective increase is 10%, equal to one slap. Humans gain an increase of that 10%, creatures only 5%, and Undead, as well as other females, aren't encouraged at all. This is simply because creatures aren't as interested in her as Humans, Undead feel nothing, and other Females should feel no attraction. To be encouraged, the Creature must be at least two levels below the Maiden. And only one encouragement can work at a time. If there are two Maidens, it works as well as one.
Encouragement: Important Notes
- Must be Working in the Same Room to Encourage
- Must be at Least 2 Levels Above to Encourage
- Only one Encouragement Bonus, Two Maidens is as Good as One
- 10% Effectiveness Increase for Humans
- 5% Effectiveness Increase for Creatures
- 0% Effectiveness Increase for Undead
- 0% Effectiveness Increase for Females
Jobs:
The Maiden's Primary Job is to Research. Once she's done with that, she will go to her Lair and sleep. However, she may sometimes come to the Temple to pray, and most of the time she'll bring a Wizard, Monk, Warlock, or one of her other favorite magical creatures with her, but also Knights.
When angry, the Maiden will leave the dungeon or pursuade other creatures, like the Warlock.
Behavior in OverWorld:
The Maiden can usually be seen with Monks and Wizards to help with support, but also a few Giants as well. She cannot stand her own, so she is expected to have some type of "body guard". She can also be found at Temples or Libraries, most commonly.
Obtainable By:
The Maiden can be attracted through a portal, torture, or found as a neutral creature.
In Battle:
The Maiden is a Flanker/Support type unit. You can be sure she'll deliver the strikes, but they won't be too terribly great. She will, however, be quite effective in numbers, or with some higher experiance. The Maiden becomes a Support unit when she learns Fireball, and she is rather late at level 4. At the highest level, she becomes very well defined as a support unit, and can deal a good amount of damage in melee if it other comes to that. But her Word of Power will help her survive greatly.
Hang Out Group:
The Maiden enjoys the company of most magical creatures. She also likes Knights especially. The Maiden tries to avoid Undead creatures, and other females, if possible.
Loves:
The Maiden loves to be at the Temple, researching, sleeping, and pretty much any relaxing job. She has this naive vision of a united peace over all creatures, humans, and beings. She loves to be with her master, and finds joy in her loyalty for her master.
Hates:
The Maiden does not like to fight, and hates stepping on dead bodies of her comrades. She doesn't find much joy in seeing her dead enemies either, her disliking of Undead is one reason but she also hates War in general. However she hates being disloyal to her master even more, as well as the destruction of her comrades.
Lair: A relaxing and cosy bed that looks like a giant flower, or a Rose more specifically. It still has the main actual body stump thing, thorn free. It also has a large torch with a red fire standing beside it (Like the Merchant from RE4 :P)
Appearance: She appears like the Priestess in DK1, but more elegant like a Princess (:)). She also has black hair and wears a long dress. Her coloring is mainly red, blue, and gold.
PS: I will try and get a good picture of her up after modding a Priestess image.
