While playing STK I was thinking...it would be great to have destroyable objects, especially if they could affect the actual track! Here are some examples of what I mean:
- When object blows up, it opens access to a secret passage
- When object blows up, it blocks access to a secret passage
- When object blows up, it creates an obstacle on the track
- When object blows up, it deploys an accelerator (such as blowing up a stack of tires could result in tire debris offering faster surface for the kart to drive on)
Objects could be hit with cakes or plungers and would be automatically targeted whenever the kart is facing it (in the same way that other karts on the track are automatically hit by these weapons within a certain range).
Anyway, what gave me this idea was thinking of the Twisted Metal series for the playstation. I'd love to have that feature ported to STK!! It would also be neat to have in the overworld, if weapons can be used in it.
