Still looking for anyone who would like to do... and a helicopter.
cheesebrother {l Wrote}:Still looking for anyone who would like to do... and a helicopter. If you want a very interesting helicopter you could try this one which i just whipped up. It needs textures to be completed. I don't know if you'll want it but i guess that you can try putting it in your city to see if it fits in. It isn't much of a model but i though i'd make an attempt. As jpenguin said you could probably find nice models from google wharehouse and get the creator to give you a license for it.

LinuxUser {l Wrote}:Just remember, most of those logos are trademarked, so you should check up on how you are allowed to use their trademark. I think you'll find you won't be able to use either of the Blender or openSUSE logos, and I can't say anything about the others.
cheesebrother {l Wrote}:I don’t know if you ever tried out your arena in stk but here it is (very crude of course, not all the textures are proper). On the matter of criticism your arena actually isn’t that nice to drive in at the moment. If you play it the bridges are way out of proportion to the tower, it isn't smooth enough, and there isn’t much interest (on the stage that is). Except for the scenery which is A1, this needs a good bit of work or completely new idea to be any good. You’ve got some really nice scenery so the stage is set for a beautiful mid-city battle arena.
machrider14 {l Wrote}:what bridges, the ones that lead to the Linux Building or the ones that go from one tower to the next?
plus I can't get the file.

The bridges that lead to the linux building are the ones which are too big. Have you ever played your arena in stk before?
I'm sorry, uploaded the wrong thing (what i did upload was the blender and kmz files). Here's the correct one for you to try.
cheesebrother {l Wrote}:Hi machrider14, just a quick note connected with making arenas in google sketchup. The reason why so many surfaces were white in the stk version which i made is because in your model there were lots of faces with one material on the one side and another material(usually white) on the other side. This information won't carry to stk and one side will dominate, often resulting in the side which you didn't intend. The simple fix to this is to go all around your model and make sure that the material is the same on both sides of each face.
cheesebrother {l Wrote}:Everything must have the same texture on both sides. For instance the bridges between the linux tower and the outer towers were white - why? Because on one side there was a color and on the other there was black (don't use sketchup colors they just turn out white in the game). In this case both turned out white and it was white in the game.
