I suppose music is too subjective, everyone have his own taste. I personally not fan of 8bit-like music, except in 8bit games (only my taste).
But the tracks are really good
report: when you turn off music, then on, it don't come back until the map is reload.

That is, unless the map maker can only use the music in the Red Eclipse client, which would defeat the whole point of the map maker creating the playlist in the first place.
