SuperTuxKart 0.7.3 with Kubuntu : keyboard issue

After the installation, the game is running well. But I can set in my prefereces what I want, I can not drive "left" and "right" the Tux car.

Hardware: lenovo ThinkPad X220

Any ideas?

What is the OS, and is this with a keyboard or gamepad?

Kubuntu 11.10 (KDE 4.7.2) without a gamepad, I use the keyboard from my ThinkPad.

Can you try to change the keys? The only idea I have at this time is that it is a case of Keyboards are evil ( http://www.sjbaker.org/wiki/index.php?t ... s_Are_Evil ), i.e. your keyboard having trouble handling both the accelerate key and steer left key/right at the same time
