Paint = banana peel effect from Mario Kart. I think we need more silly slow down items (bubblegum is not that really effective).

Bubblegum should have more of a pull feeling. Instead of just changing the kart speed. It should make it decelerate and then snap release. Maybe with a bubblegum pop sound.

Agreed

I just changed the bubblegum, in latest SVN it's now quite a bit nastier, and also the graphical effect is cooler

Bubblegums of all the colors

?? or The paint replaces bubblegums and a more stretched out ?? or The paint which makes slide Karts from left to right ?

I don't think it should replace bubblegum. If the effects are improved on the bubblegum it makes itself unique enough to stand out (not in MK that I know of). I think if the paint approach is going to be taken, it should be the kart spin out of control. Adding different paint/bubblegum effects seems to complicated to remember (not very fun). As I mentioned before, I would love to see in STK more drop on road and recovery from last place items.

Yellow Banana >> little problème for the Kart (Bubllegum, Anvil...)
Green Banana >> Big Problem for the Kart (Bomb...)
