How to play in multiplayer mode

1. I don't have Joystick or Gamepad, so how I play multiplayer mode in split screen with keyboard in my laptop. I added two keyboard configs, but in multiplayer mode, I can select only one kart, and not able to play.
2. If I make a virtual computer using virtualbox and make local connects to guest computer, can I play stk in multiplayer mode.

Make sure your 2 keyboard configs don't have key collisions, then on the character selection screen (multiplayer mode) just press the "fire" key of the 2nd keyboard config to add the second player.

Yeah, as Kinsu said, but be aware that generic keyboards often have a hardware limitation on how many keypresses are possible at the same time, so playing multiplayer on the same keyboard can often be very frustrating.
