Credits on STK (CR) + more locked karts

Can be made credits? That for a certain route or go-kart you would need to write a number of credits issued. For example, a player would get the start of CR 500. Would be three to choose from go-karts with 300 CR etc. It would be better if there were more blocked Card (not just GNU).

PS: I use a translator.

I think he means that the game should have some "ingame currency". Like, when you win a race you get "5 SuperTux Dollars" and you can spend them to buy a new Kart or a new Track.

edit: I like this idea. Could be combined wih the story mode. :D

If a story mode or single a more single player focus mode is created this could be a nice feature. It's not new if you've played any of the various Need For Speed titles, and any other that follows it's style, and it's a nice way to reward the player.

You could earn points/credits to unlock new karts, new tracks or even gain a bit of nitro when starting a race (though this would only be useful against hard AI in single races). I don't know if it's not going too much towards the NF style (race for credits, buy upgrades, race for more credits, etc.).

Well to be honest I'm not convinced, I think STK needs to remain simpler than that :) I see the money thing in more "serious" racing games, not so much in kart games that need to be playable by kids

I agree with Auria, money is kind of a complicated idea to just unlock features.

Sorry, but I think we should stick to the kart racing theme (you don't see these features in Mario Kart 64 or Diddy Kong Racing = best kart games in my opinion). I think we should get a skip-able credit screen though after passing all challenge races or what will become story mode. It makes it feel more rewarding vs. just getting an award ("good job you finished the game" feeling). Also, some people might be interested in knowing who to thank for this awesome game without having to Google search it. :D Not to mention those of you who developed the game could be like, "Hey son you know that awesome game we played?...Now read this credit part here". :p

In career mode I definitely want some kind of ending :) not sure exactly what yet, but for sure credits are easy to come up with ;)

Well to throw you some ideas:
1. Typical roll-up credits (work best and everyone familiar with it)
2. All karts 1 by 1 go from left to right randomly with their name above their head (get to the know the characters, addons not included)
3. Get to know item names if still some time left?

Also, I would love to see (i can do it if you guys want :D) some background for the items & characters if it wouldn't take too much space on the game. I did one for my suggested "The Angry Traffic Cone" item.
