SuperTuxKart 0.7.2 rc2 has been released

Hi all,

first of all a big thank you to all testers of the first release candidate. We have just release a second release candidate for 0.7.2. Compared to the first release candidate the following issues have been fixed or been improved:
* Crash on linux when using the addon manager.
* Fixed crash when stk couldn't save downloaded addons.
* Potential crash when removing addons.
* Properly detect system language on Windows.
* Incorrect rescue (e.g. on city track).
* End of race music was fixed.
* New kart: Beastie
* Updated translations, minor improvements to some models.

You can find packages for Windows, Mac, and a src package at out download page at http://sourceforge.net/projects/supertu ... art/0.7.2/

Please test , enjoy, and provide feedback!

PS: For people still using 0.7.1, here the important changes in 0.7.2 again:
* Added in-game addon manager ( see http://stkaddons.net/ )
* Fixed major memory leaks (STK will no longer saturate your memory after half a dozen races)
* New Snow Peak track by Samuncle
* Improved star track UFO by Rudy
* Show when you get a highscore
* Improve gamepad configuration under Windows (add ability to tell gamepads apart)
* Various other tweaks done and glitches fixed

Gee, how embarrassing - sorry, I missed that when going through the svn log, but I've added it in now.

I noticed 2 things:
- In a grand prix: On the scoreboard after a race you sometimes see a "Highest score" message. On the second screen (the ones where you race points are added to the grand prix score) this message is shown again, but this has an odd consequence: The scores are visible before they fly in from the right, which looks odd.
- Every time a kart before me falls, e.g. coming you of the building in the hacienda, the kart before me blinks, i.e. vanishes and reappears in a tenth of a second. At moments my kart aso does that. I checked in the previous versions (RC1 and 0.7.1) they also have this flaw.

thanks for the report! For the first I created https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/super ... ticket/301

for the second, I never noticed that; did anyone ever see that? Anyway maybe you could create a ticket

I have seen this for as long as I can remember in STK. I have never found/tried to find an explanation for it, and I've just quietly accepted it since it's not too often, and as he says, it happens just a second or even shorter.

I heard the new ending music, and I think ending can be improved by timing the elements displaying :

Ending.png
there is a mistake : Animations are repeated until infinite
The principle works all the same


The advantage are :

Put in value animations
Have a better acoustic filling

Hi,

1) the "game master" message only appears when you're pressing keys on other gamepads in multiplayer mode; simply stop pressing other keys

2) yeah, this is known, not sure how to fix :( maybe we can find a shorter translation

Yeahh, VMware Fusion with 3D support or mesa software 3D :)

PowerMac problem:

The result is: irrlicht doesn't detect the type of archive ;) The irrlicht developer is the expert of source code.
And only the irrlicht developer can help us. Please tell the irrlicht dev that irrlicht doesn't detect the type of archive on ppc platforms.
