Fonts are stored as images as far as I know. You can get them here.

openfontlibrary seems to be temporarily down at this time; when it's back up, simply download font "Layne hansom"

Or, maybe rather my remix of the Layne Hansom font, since I made more characters for the font myself and uploaded onto OpenFontLibrary.

I don't have it on my disk.

http://www.openfontlibrary.org/ has it, but it is in renovation. Please be patient

OK, thanks for the information. Sadly, I cannot find my own version of this font there - I added a lot of extra characters like ĝ, Ĩ etc. And I can't find it on either of my hard disks yet... currently waiting for a USB case so I can try an old, dying hard disk that I used at the time. Hopefully I'll find my version there. If not, I'll have to ask the OpenFontLibrary if they happen to have a backup somewhere.

So kids, make sure that you not only back up regularly (which I try to do), but make sure you include all important files as well.

That's one reason why we are maintaining the media repository - so that all original media files can be preserved! So if you do any modifications to a font, please put it in the fonts directory of the media repository.

Hope you will be able to find your original files again!

Cheers,
Joerg
