Hi everyone,

regarding the Windows issues, Joerg has corrected the CURL problem, and a new Windows installer is now available for download. Please test again :)

3dwarehouse {l Wrote}:My problem is that my normal keyboard keyboard 0 shares keys with 1 and 2 so I wish there was a way to disable it. when I press the fire keys for keyboard setup 1 and 2 it has 3 players( I think it auto adds keyboard setup 0. Its hard to word but Basically it adds 3 players when it should only have 2 players.

Is the first player the one that is added automatically when you select "multiplayer game"? If this is the case, try to select the "multiplayer game" button with the (proper) keyboard and not the mouse. Does it help?

I have found a bug, ... Inside SuperTuxKart 0.6.x - 0.7.x

Inside SuperTuxKart display configuration setup section = i select video-mode 1920x1080. After the little icon screen that have inside 16:9 in graphics is selected.
After, if i press apply and fullscreen, the video-mode is changed to 1920x1080, and also the little icon screen that have inside 16:9 in graphics is selected. (seem normal)
But after that , if i return inside SuperTuxKart display configuration setup section, then i see that the little icon selected is 800x600 4:3. But the game itself, is in fullscreen 1920x1080.

Then it (seem not normal) SuperTuxKart display configuration setup section, the "little icon selected is 800x600 4:3", for a video-mode of 1920x1080.

This is weird, thanks for the report, will investigate

As of SVN r8226 with the latest dependencies 71-a the problem still persist, while compiling in debug mode or release mode. :(

The new rc1a release is OK. it works without the error.

Are you using Visual Studio 2010, in SuperTuxKart trunk? I believe the Visual Studio 2010 project has not yet been updated

mjminfo {l Wrote}:I have the same problem including the svn r8220 compiled in debug or release. same problems in both win 7 ultimate and on XP sp3

I am not sure if I understand you correctly - but the problem with a self compiled version is certainly different from the installer (since self compiled means you have the necessary debug libraries installed).

I am not sure if the VS10 project file for trunk is up-to-date, last night I only had time for the 0.7.1 branch (though it should still work if you are still using the previous dependency files). Could you provide the details (either in trac (best), or in a separate thread here?)

Cheers,

Hi Joerg,
I've just tried with the latest svn (8240) and I still get the same error message upon starting stk. I'm using the latest dependencies 71a.

the RC1a is working OK

I've updated the VS 10 project file (8241), but I am not convinced that it will make a difference for you (but please test). Best make sure to remove the libcurld.dll file (NOT libcurl.dll), and the dependencies/lib/libcurld_imp.lib files.

If that doesn't help, download the dependency walker (google for it), and run it on the executable. It should show you why the executable can't be loaded.

Hi, I've d/l the dependency walker and it says :

Error: The Side-by-Side configuration information for "g:\main\LIBCURLD.DLL" contains errors. The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail (14001)
[ ? ] MSVCR90D.DLL Error opening file. The system cannot find the file specified (2).
[D? ] IESHIMS.DLL Error opening file. The system cannot find the file specified (2).

where "?" = is saying missing file. So it looks like it's looking for the debug version of the MSvcr90.dll :(

I'm compiling now with r8248, let's see if that changes anything.

ok with r8248 it starts, I was able to add a new user , choose multiplayer a tried to start a race, but it bombed out. I'll have to see what it gets out with in the debug version I'm compiling now. But only tomorrow ( actually this morning  ), as I just got back from work and it's been a long day, need some sleep ;)

This is still loading the old debug library, so I think you are not using 8241 (iirc - where I changed the vs10 project file).

This is indeed a bit strange, unless it's an issue that I created that lib with vs9. But anyway, the debug version should not be used.

OK, yes, we would need some more details.

Hi :) :) :) :)

there is a graphic card driver error in 10.4.11. I made a DMG for Mac OS X 10.3.9 Panther and higher and STK runs nice on 10.3.9 and 10.4.0. Auria: Your DMG runs also good on Mac OS X 10.4.0 (not on Mac OS X 10.3.9).

Xeno, it's nice to know it was a graphics card/driver issue :)

And yes I know my DMG will not work on 10.3.9, if you make one feel free to upload it (but please don't make it the default)
