xeno, that's a VERY weird bug :( Unfortunately I have no idea what can cause this. PPC macs are getting very rare nowadays

It's covered on the OMG!Ubuntu! blog again. Yay, publicity! :D
But seriously, they mention the source tarball and the not-yet-updated PPA, but don't link to the binary that's just as easy to install? And for the poor chaps trying to compile the source... they don't know what they're in for.
Hey pal, I took an oath for justice! "In happy days or tightest tights..." or something like that.

What if you compile your own version? Can you try some of the irrlicht example programs? I am not really aware of anything that might cause this behaviour, so irrlicht would be my first guess.

If irrlicht examples work, and your self compiled is still upside down, could you try previous svn version?

And make sure you are indeed using opengl, not sure if there is a problem with that if stk might switch to a software renderer(?)

I think our kart selection at this stage isn't too bad (though they can always be improved), but the more and better tracks would always be good.

Of course we are in urgent need of more coders - with just Auria and myself doing the coding STK development will just be slow.

Sorry for being brief,
I have never looked at the stk code. I've only looked at the karts and tracks up unto this point.
I have been learning C for the last year and would be interested in the challenge.
Also is it best to program on ubuntu or mac?

Both is fine. Auria is developing on Mac, I am on Windows, but I do regular build on Linux to make sure everything works there as well.

I will get to the code sooner or later, but I wouldlike before to continue graphics, as I already spend a lot of time programming in my average week.

I wish you could add a option that would let you select the keyboards for each player because I have 3 keyboard layouts. 1 for single player races, and 2 so that I can fit it onto one keyboard.

You can, just press the appropriate fire key.

You can't have multiple keyboard configurations that share the same keys though, is that what you mean?

Thanks. Yes, we noticed that, too - a day or so after the rc1. We have updated our release procedure to make sure that we will not forget this again.

My problem is that my normal keyboard keyboard 0 shares keys with 1 and 2 so I wish there was a way to disable it. when I press the fire keys for keyboard setup 1 and 2 it has 3 players( I think it auto adds keyboard setup 0. Its hard to word but Basically it adds 3 players when it should only have 2 players.

Me too, after a little investigation, I found that the file causes problem is libcurld.dll, which uses msvcr90d.dll, and I don't have this dll installed on my computer :( Simply copy another libcurl.dll (I found it in XMoto, too) and rename it to libcurld.dll, then it works ...

Respond = it have fixed the problem, ... (libcurl-4.dll renamed to libcurld.dll) from XMoto, fix the problem.

"libcurld.dll" inside SuperTuxKart 0.7.1 Release Candidate 1, windows installation", have a problem.

Hi, ...

SuperTuxKart 0.6.x -0.7.x

I have found a bug, ... Inside SuperTuxKart 0.6.x - 0.7.x

Inside SuperTuxKart display configuration setup section = i select video-mode 1920x1080. After the little icon screen that have inside 16:9 in graphics is selected.
After, if i press apply and fullscreen, the video-mode is changed to 1920x1080, and also the little icon screen that have inside 16:9 in graphics is selected. (seem normal)
But after that , if i return inside SuperTuxKart display configuration setup section, then i see that the little icon selected is 800x600 4:3. But the game itself, is in fullscreen 1920x1080.

Then it (seem not normal) SuperTuxKart display configuration setup section, the "little icon selected is 800x600 4:3", for a video-mode of 1920x1080.
