Being a free software activist is a mental illness

OK, maybe I go on a bit of a stretch here but recently I got hold some of my psychiatric papers and there were a lot of unknown words there so I started looking them up. Eventually I stumbled upon this.
The puer typically leads a provisional life due to the fear of being caught in a situation from which it might not be possible to escape. He covets independence and freedom, opposes boundaries and limits, and tends to find any restriction intolerable.

Emphasis mine.

I've looked another couple of articles of this and to say that I was pissed was a major understatement. I really like how psychology is directly influenced by businesses and can label a will to defend your rights as a disorder. Now, I'm fairly amused by what these guys do (warning: they are from scientology) but I think psychology and psychiatry are the medical fields that are abused the most.

So stay vigilant.
Some crazy person on the Internet.

Huh, never heard of a "puer" before.

I wish more people understood the value of freedom and privacy as a matter of principle, and not as a means to some evil end.
