Summer of SuperTux: Level Contest

I'm working on one of my own levels for this, called "Cold Waters"

I'm intending it for the Underground section in Icy Island, making it an underground water stage! Should be a lot of fun I've got tonnes of inspiration from this new mechanic, and all the new sprites and tiles you guys have been working on!

You’re right about the fire flower, but I think the other flowers are also not suitable.

Certainly, a new type of flower is needed to use underwater,
The hat can be like diving goggles, the weapon comes to mind something like a small harpoon. (It is always nice to contribute ideas hehehehe).

How About A Diver Suit?
It Could Work.

It would be very nice too. Hey !, a penguin in a diving suit defending himself from the enemies with a harpoon, sounds funny hehehehe.

Not Really, but I think Tux dos not need a diver sute.

And by the way, fire ball's under water works perfectly.

Every one knows some explosive mixtures burn under
water, so it's not a problem to use the power up under water.

I'm going to enter this contest too, so I made my own level! It's called "Cold Waters" and focuses on Underground Swimming

It took me 43 hours to make.

My best times are around 3 minutes for normal completion and 12:46 for 100% completion.

This level is pretty long, so if ever its planned to be added to some maps I can modify the beginning to make it shorter.

Great levels, ally and jojo! I like the use of water that does not completely fill the level. In ally’s level you need to activate three switches but SuperTux only has two color signs. Should be no problem to add another one.

@ally Remove the long cutscene that gives you access to the three switches at the beginning. I know that scripting it was a lot of work but players do not need to see the lock before they find a key. If the cutscene were skippable or did not play every time you restart from the checkpoint it would not be much of a problem. The simplest and best solution is to remove it and the wood tiles that prevent you from pressing the switches.

you have an old version of supertux, because the version i had had 4 colours of signs.. so i think something went wrong there.

Also yeah, the cutscenes are very long at the beginning and will be removed along with 2 buttons to make the level's beginning more fast paced.

Great level, but I think the first scene of the doors is too long. If you made it a bit shorter it would be perfect. Still great job!
