I find these Hotheads or Podoboos very annoying in Super Mario. Most of the time they hide in the lava. This means that you need to wait before jumping over any lava pit because there could be a Hothead waiting for you. Getting hit by a Hothead often feels like it’s not your fault. If you decide to add it, please make sure that they are less annoying.

Like, make the lava bubble a bit where they'll jump out of, so you'll know where they are?

I just noticed that the proposed lava balls would be basically the same as the fish that is already in the game. The fish never annoyed me. I think the reason is that fish hide for a shorter time so the moment you reach the water pit you already know there is a fish in it. The lava balls could be a secondary sprite for the fish enemy.

The problem with podoboos in Mario is that they are often unpredictable. Maybe keeping them on a set timer (like the fish) would make them less annoying? If they come out of the lava on a quick enough schedule, you should be able to see them in front of Tux in time to know where they are in the lava. That way you wouldn't have to guess.

exception: lava balls can move horizontally when jumping.
(fireproof too, but that's what the flame fish enemy should be like as well)

I would say ACK. Given SuperTux display resolution and scale is variable, it is by definition impossible to make good autoscrolling gameplay. We should decide between using the screen edge for gameplay, and having the user able to confirm the screen edge. It is impossible to have both.

So my vote goes in favor of removal of autoscroll.

Apart of course from the fact that autoscroll is rather broken in multiple ways.

keep autoscroll as a legacy feature, to avoid breaking the autoscroll test level in the game.

No! No! Not the level auto scroll, the auto scroll in the editor from the tiles/objects menu sometimes it is
annoying...

Underwater enemies for the water levels, and shooting fire and ice balls in the direction you're swimming.

{l Code}: {l Select All Code}
settings.fade_to_ambient_light(red, green, blue, alpha);
or
{l Code}: {l Select All Code}
settings.set_ambient_light(r, g, b, a);

Change gravity:

Add slippery slopes, or add a setting in the layer to set
ground properties. It would be nice.

Hello I just saw this page and thought I would... clickon it. Well, my idea would be an Easter theme, with e.g. Striped "Egg-Bonus" or different coloured rabbit-ears instead of a helmet for the Bonusflowers.
With worst regards you can think of... No, I was just sarcastic *cough*
With BEST regards,

I have a new idea:
You could add a flip forward with the keys: Space + Down + Left/Right.
