I had this problem too when I ran the Windows version through Wine. I'm not sure what it is...

I'm not a SuperTux developer but if want a problem fixed you need to provide more information. The first post should mention what operating system you are running and the version of SuperTux. If you are running under Wine that should definitely be mentioned. If you are running under Wine you should test a native version or test on a Windows box.

If the problem is due to Wine and not SuperTux, you should probably ask Wine experts. You should run it from the command line and see if the information printed by Wine gives some clue. You should test another application under Wine than includes sound. Maybe you have already done that but you don't give that information in the post. Without more information it is doubtful anyone can help.

The Thing Is,
Finding Someone To Get Help,
Is Hard.

I Don't Think That They
Have Time, Plus, I Don't Know
If OR How The Solution Is Done
Without Steps.

And Using A Windows Simulation Would Also Not
Work, Cuz I Need The Disc.

I Think You Get What Im Trying To Say.
It's Hard To Find A Solution That Works (Sometimes).

I'll Try Another Version Of Wine And Update Everyone.

Update!

I Used PlayOnLinux, But It Still Doesn't Work.
I Think This Could Work:

Re-install SuperTux On PlayOnLinux,

And Then Put Data Into That One.

I Think I Found The Solution.

Of course it is. You didn't give any information for someone to help. You asked SuperTux how come Wine doesn't work instead of going to a Wine forum and ask for help. You didn't mention if you tested SuperTux natively and confirmed that it has sound. You didn't mention if you tried other windows programs under Wine and that they have sound. You didn't run wine from the command line and include the output in a post. You didn't mention the version of SuperTux. You didn't mention if it is 32-bit or 64-bit. You didn't ask someone with windows to test that version. How do you expect someone to help you?

There could be a wine expert on this forum. I don't think there is but unless you provide some information no one can help you.

As for where you can ask for help, search for "wine linux" find winehq.org. The software center under Fedora also includes a link to the website if you search for wine. (Not sure if the same is true for Ubuntu.) I would ask on the forum there but you need to provide more information. If you say supertux doesn't have sound and nothing else, I doubt anyone will be able to help.

This also happened after I updated my canakit and changed a line of code that caused a terrible echoing tunnel effect, along with audio lag...
I bet it's just a problem with how the audio is played...

No you don't. You need to give information for people to actually investigate the issue. For example I can say this was fixed in version Y. You must still be using version X. You haven't said what version of SuperTux you are using.

When I mentioned you need to say if you were using the 32-bit or 64-bit version, it is because I went to the supertux site to try the windows version under wine to see if I had the same problem. Once I realized you hadn't even provided that, I decided it wasn't worth my time investigating.

For me, this happens with 0.6.0-1, according to terminal, and that version is the latest one available on the canakit... (This wasn't a problem before I updated the computer...)

In case you are wondering at people's reaction, you might find reading http://catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html useful. Without more information about your personal computer system that only you possess, they can't help you.
