onpon4 {l Wrote}:"Open source" does not mean "available without cost". When you buy Sleep Is Death, you get the source code, and it's in the public domain (like everything else Jason Rohrer has written). So yes, it's open source, and more importantly, it's libre.
Can someone comment on OpenTTD?
Maybe you could make a separate section for clones.
Please re-evaluate Freedroid RPG. I think they have fixed the ending a long time ago. I was able to play this game and complete it, it never had game-breaking bugs to me. Maybe you were playing an old version?
As for games rejected because they're clones or too similar to another game: Not all clones are created equal.
I'd suggest making a separate section for clones. I feel a little heartbroken to see Hedgewars there.
I didn't even know XMoto was a clone of something.

OpenClonk is a successor to Clonk, essentially an unofficial sequel (note: the proprietary Clonk series is discontinued).
Ryzom: There's not much more you could ask for than a freaking 3D libre MMORPG that is in addition free to play. Immersive as any other AAA game of this type. Many hours of my life went into this game.
System Syzygy: Nice puzzle game with a storyline. I haven't finished it yet but the game quality is immediately apparent. Minimalistic style, but balanced, nice humor.
