SuperTuxKart 0.7 a3 crashes in Mac OS X 10.5.8

Hi guys, I have been having some problems with STK. I just recently downloaded alpha 3, and whenever I click the "Race" button, the game crashes. As far as I know, all other buttons work fine. I can change graphics settings, and view the online winning video. If I go to the challenges, and do the first one, it loads the track fine, but on the "Ready, Set" it freezes up and quits.

This has happened with all alphas, although STK 0.62 works completely fine.

Hi,

thanks for the report. I believe it has to do with RTT (render-to-texture) not being supported by your graphics card or driver (this surprises me a bit, macs generally come with good graphics cards, what graphic card do you have?)

I believe I fixed this in SVN; unfortunately there is no way to make it work with alpha 3 short of fixing your drivers/GPU to support RTT. If you feel comfortable with building from source, current SVN trunk should fix this issue; otherwise you may need to wait for next release
