ArDanWol {l Wrote}:Are these all the same track, just with a different tempo? They seem very similar

Hey, the tracks aren't the same, mostly because of the synth line (it's different). I can try to change the synth line once i have some free time

Here's a quick update: after almost 2 months of inactivity in the music realm, I'm coming back.

Oops... I did it again. https://silverignition-svl.bandcamp.com ... z-rock-mix

Hope you enjoy this track as much as I enjoyed composing it. One more thing: the track isn't quite perfect because the bass is a bit too loud

Edit: track renamed to https://silverignition-svl.bandcamp.com ... 00mph-city "100mph City"

I like the music you've composed, but I still don't think it's quite the right style for STK. I've listened to it while racing and I don't think it fits with the vibe of the current tracks. I can't think of a track theme that would fit with this music.

With your 100 Mph City, I like the quitar and drum track, but the other instrument (not sure what it is, maybe a synthesizer?) gives the track a slower pace and feeling. I don't feel "100 mph" when I listen to this track. Like I said before, I'm no musician so I can't give you solid advice, I'm just voicing my opinion.

I really like your music you have posted on bandcamp in general. I especially like your "Cool Feelings" track. With a little work, I think this would fit into STK. ;)

Hey man, I legitimately appreciate the feedback and will clear up a few things in the process.

For the "100mph city" track, I used 4 instruments: Drums, Bass, Guitar (heavy overdrive) and a saxophone/trumpet (I cannot remember because the ais file that knew what instruments were used is gone) - I am aware that it's not really "100 mph", but I have a tendency to be lazy when it comes to coming up with names.

as for "Cool Feelings", well, I used 2 guitars (an electric and acoustic - you might hear both of them) 2 basses, and drums

I'm working on a new track (145BPM) as of this forum post, it should be ready by Thursday night

You know what's funny?

I might be able to adapt (or remix?) some of my old electronica tracks for STK's music style (because most of them lack bass - yes, i am listening to most of them - particularly the "HappyTunexxx.mp3" files), though, I'm not sure what Auria and 0zone0ne will think of this...

by the way,

I released my very first track for 2016, and also created a remix of it for the music style that STK uses.

the remix: http://1drv.ms/1TymoL7

and the original track https://silverignition-svl.bandcamp.com ... ful-guitar

also, let this thread be a cautionary tale of why you should have goals and a reference track (a racetrack) when composing music for SuperTuxKart

Remember the "HappyTune" tracks I made last February? at the beginning of this thread?

Yeah, a remaster is coming soon.

You know what's funny? I do these tracks for fun, and honestly, if no track gets accepted - I won't be upset about it.

Happy Holidays everyone.
