My secret projects of 2015 - Four new tracks to chose one.

Hi, everybody!

I'm happy to show you my projects of 2015 for STK. They are a set of four tracks, most sunny.

The first one is "Polynesian Resort". The track itself is very simple and basic; the stunning landscape is it strength. The track is totally inspired by the real location of Tahiti's Bora-Bora island, French Polynesia. I started the conception of this track almost one year ago, but the project was paralyzed by months. Note that the textures of most objects are still provisory except the car, the wooden cabins with the curve bridge and the group of pool chairs.

For this track, some partnership would be very welcomed. The resort will be full of plants and palm trees as well beautiful flowers. Do a research and search for Tahiti and Bora-Bora to have an idea about the awesomeness of the landscape.

The second project has a provisory name "Mining" and it is simple, too. Basically, the track consists of a site in a desert somewhere (there's no a specific fictional place for it). With a lot of empty places and a few objects, this track is not considered one of my main projects, but I like it due to the three big machines: 1.the locomotive, 2.the dump truck and 3.the shovel.

The locomotive (OPAC made) will be probably silver with my logo created for Canyon Junction Railway company. The dump truck and the big shovel are manufactured by Nolok Industries, as showed on the pictures.

The third project is called "Viking Ring Fortress" and the theme song is "Trelleborg", the norse name for ring fortresses. The track is obviously placed somewhere in a fictional Scandinavia (I mean only Denmark, Sweden and Norway, where the trelleborgs were built) circa 980 AD, during the reign of Harold Bluetooth.

I did an extensive research in English as well in Danish, Norwegian and Swedish to find objects and architectural aspects of viking culture and life at the time of Threlleborgs. So, arms, wagons, houses and everything else are based on real historic objects. Look:

The 4th project is already known, since I have presented the idea months ago. This is the track "Circus" as showed here:

I hope you all like them and you may help me to chose the next track to finish.
Thanks in advance. :)

Great work GeekPenguinBR! I also find the Viking Fortress has some huge potential. You also did some comprehensive research, that's always a big plus as a start! Keep going :)

The others are quite interesting too, but personally in the STK universe I'm more interested in cartoony/historical/fantasy-ish settings than industrial ones like the mining map - though I can imagine making this locomotive and trucks were a lot of fun :D

Hi, Akien! Thank you for your reply.

I'm happy to see favorable opinions about my projects, mainly, the viking fortress. I had this idea many months ago and I asked myself "why not something about viking warriors"? So, I started my research about viking life and the trelleborgs, because I knew I had found the ideal history for my new project.

As I said, I like a lot the polynesian landscape and the mining machines, but the fortress is a original theme (I mean not copied from Mario, Sonic or any other game) for a Stk track.

Thanks again and wait for updates.

Hi :)

Impressive project but I stick to my previous statement (don't take it personally). I vote for Las Dunas Arena :P. I'm glad you wrote you will release it this week.

As I said previously I won't help people who don't post 3D objects/track/files. I won't help without a look to the geometry nor if it's not rendered in Antarctica. IF you want to make a surprise or don't want to disclose your blend files that's fine just send them to the team in private.

You started tons of projects and we never got any results back. So release Las Dunas Arena and then I will be glad to help you.

I know my answer is less enthusiastic compared to other people but I really try to make you focus on ONE project instead of starting a new topic every 3 months.

Release Las Dunas Arena now ;). Publish it on our addon website. Share your blend so we can give you proper feedback.

I agree with sam that you should finish Las Dunas first, but I think that the Viking Village would make a really cool next project.

You should submit the cruise ship in the resort track to the assets library. It would work great in Gran Paradiso Island as well as the resort track.

To be honest, Gran Paradiso has already a big airplane; another big transport would be too much IMO. Furthermore, I posted exactly this idea a year ago http://forum.freegamedev.net/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5917&hilit=paradiso+island&start=25 offering my ship, but samuncle ignored it. So, makes no sense if now, he wants to add my ship.
