Simple models

New model:
Tree-hollow bed (1x1).
Texture is my made of photos (CC0). But actually I don't like how 'external' crust renders (too low detail). I tried a hand-made 'circled' texture and this one, polar-coordinated, both worked bad. Maybe I should add a seam and try to make it flat?

I'll try to make an overview list of textures hyperlinks&info in a few minutes.

So, just saying, we should just include the licenses of the ones that i have added, while the others should be kept only for keeping. Or else this will get confusing.

Yes, I've done the list just for convenience.

Remake of tree-hollow bed, completely new texture from the same my photos (CC0) This time it looks much better.

A hut-bed. Kind of a tropic hut.
HutBed.jpg

Didn't have any hay at home so I had to place a wooden fence (my photo - CC0) Maybe it is better to replace it with hay? While hay would look better with transparency.
And the same texture for wool as for 'OrcBed': wooly-sheep-tt7030002 by p0ss from opengameart with CC-BY-SA 3.0 and GPL 2.0 processed by GIMP http://opengameart.org/node/9876
P.S. There may be problems with normals here as hut top is one-sided.

hi, the bigger problem is that you cant see whats below, remember whe are always (except for the future first person mode) looking from above. and that will fully cover the creature. Its better to have beds that will show most or a bit of the creature.

Yes, I've thought about it. But I don't think it can be remade, due to 'hut' logic.

Next model: Fort bed.

Texture is almost the same as in Tree hollow (my photo - CC0)

Is there a list of still-needed beds? I.e. a list of monsters without ones.

I have ideas for 6 beds remaining:
A cage
A basket
A nest
A sitting handle for bird-like monster
A puffy pillow
A grave for zombie

If you want to do a bed that takes some place, you can play with a dragon nest or a troll nest :)

"a dragon nest" - the first thing that comes to my mind is a pile of gold or ... skulls? ... if dungeon keeper is too greedy to give so much gold to the dragon?
"a troll nest" might be a kind of a bridge? This cliche is often used.

Yes, gold and skulls would do :) I trust your imagination for the rest ;)

Hi, guys, actually the dragon bed already exist, you dont have to create a new one, as for the troll and in general, please refrain from creating things with roofs, we want to see whats below. For the troll you actually created something nice, the palisade/fort bed; it will work better used in a 2x2 bed, spread all stakes like they were protecting from the outside with its pointy side, and then add some poles with skulls over them (Lets play it in a tribal way).

As for the other beds, they are good but puffy pillow should intead be a puffy cussion (big enough to take a tile) and grave its not needed.

I'd propose to use it for either the Wyvern, the Kreatur or the PitDemon. What do you think?

Model by Eugeneloza CC0, textures by Eugeneloza CC0

Bertram or any code guy, i remember you set up the y axis of room tiles higher than ground tiles to avoid texture figthing, could you set it to be half high of what already is? i noticed it eat ups a bit of some models like treasure bags, dragon bed or this very same model.Thanks. ;)

Hey Danimal, :)

Thanks for the beds! And the license info.

What is the swamp pup, btw?

I could lower the room tiles, yet I think the glitches will come back if I touch it.

For everyone: before, the room/trap tiles and ground tiles where positioned at the same height (0.0), but their surface flickered when
you moved the camera higher due to a randomly failing depth test because of floating point values, I guess.

I thus moved up the room/trap tiles slightly higher to overcome the bug, knowing it wasn't the definitive solution, but well, at that time, OD wasn't what it is now.

@hwoarangmy, @oln: To fix that problem in a more definite way, I'd propose to move the ground tiles below the rooms/trap tiles a little under instead when it is covered, and put the room/trap tile at a height of 0.0. (I don't think we should remove the ground tile when covered, since it adds a bit of unnecessary complexity.)

What do you think?

Btw, does someone know what happened to Elvano and Skorpio?

Best regards,
