STK participates in GSoC 2013

Postby hiker » 09 Apr 2013, 02:07

Hi,

just to let you know that we have been accepted as mentoring organisation for this year's Google Summer of Core. The official GSoC page for us is:
https://google-melange.appspot.com/gsoc/org/google/gsoc2013/supertuxkart

And our overview page (which includes link to our list of ideas) is at:
http://supertuxkart.sourceforge.net/GSoC_overview

If you are a student interested making some money in 'summer' (for people on the Northern hemisphere ;) ) and have some experience in C++, have a look!

Cheers,

Congratulations! I was really hoping your attempt to take part would succeed - only good can come out of this. As a former GSoC student myself (for the GNOME project) I wish the best of luck to you as mentors and to your to-be students aswell. This might prove to be quite a boost for STK! Do you have any figure of the amount of spots you might get?

Cheers!

As a first time organisation apparently 1 or 2, though we would prefer (and are prepared for) to have three.
