Hi NaN,

The space available between words in the inventory menu is fixed.

OK. I've truncated the command strings a bit. Looking acceptable imho. I've also adjusted a few dialog lines to make them a bit more fluent to read.

Thanks, it's committed.

Sorry, the strings are quite unstable those days, and of more additions seem to be till planned with the dialogue in the second cave map and the quest log. I'll try to hint you once I'm sure nothing left is to be changed regarding the translatable strings.

Wow! :) That's some exciting news! I'm honored to have a Japanese member in the team. :)
Adding the Japanese translation would be quite awesome, while I fear it will represent more work than just adding the corresponding po file.

We will need special fonts I suppose, and maybe some more tweaks to the UTF-16 support to get actual working glyphs. Yet, feel free to do it as you like, and don't hesitate to ask for help when needed.
I might also bother you so you teach a few japanese lessons!! ;)

I'd love to see a Japanese translation (I'm semi-fluent in it as well). I've always been curious what challenges we would face if we introduced a non-Latin based language. Although the SystemEngine should be able to support it, as Bertram said we would need a custom font. There's probably some code that needs to be written to determine what fonts to use with what languages.

haha, i'm not actually Japanese, I just happen to work / live in Japan as a software developer, and I speak Japanese as well :)

Ok, I'll put it on the back-burner as a todo for now. maybe on the big todo list. Sounds like there are some other goodies that we can take care of first, but it would be neat if we could support non-western charsets

sure, feel free to ask :)

Hi all, :)

I've added the german update, thanks NaN :)

I also wanted to say that the HEI-Release branch of the repository has entered an official string freeze, mistakes in english excepted. (My apologizes if so)
I'll wait a few days for translations updates there, and tag the final first release out. :)

Best regards,

Hi Nan,

Seems your translation is identical to the current german translation state. Forgot to save before sending? :?

Hey Bertram,
I've realized that there is a little issue in the inventory, where there are the abbreviations of the items and weapons (all, itm, wpn, hlm, tor, leg, key). There's also "Arm", but it appears only one time in the .po file, but it was fully translated as "Braccia" (arms in Italian) for an other context, and I can't abbreviated it as "Bra"...
So could you add a double new string called "Arm" in the .po file?

Second: some words translated in Italian are out from the frame in the shop mod, because they're a little long than the original words. Is better decrease the font, or enlarge the frame?

Hi BioHazardX, :)

This is true! We definitely need to add contextual translation support. I'll have a look at that and tell you when it's supported. :)

Thanks for pointing out,
