About the garage

I've got a new battle arena. It's pretty basic, just in and out of a garage through a window. Through that window you can go into the back yard where there's a playhouse, trampoline, and a sandbox. It's a bit tight in the garage, but fun for dodging each other's weapons. Hope you like it. Cheesebrother

Hi,

nice start :) I might recommend a few things. Try to improve the texturing of the tires and of the trampoline; it's weird that a trampoline be made of chains, and for the tires, take a look at real tires, they're not same on the outside or on the sides (also you can look at the tires of many karts, for instance Suzanne's kart). Also the textures on the outer rim of the trampoline could be better, so that it's checkered all the way around; maybe it's time that you learn UV unwrapping :)
Also I can't really go inside the sandbox

Keep it up

I know, my textures stink! Anyway i'm starting to clean them up. In the pic you can see that i made my own trampoline texture, using crisscrossing chains was too much (glad you mentioned that because it got me to make a better tex :)). I also pointed the texture on the trampoline to the center all the way around, taking away that sloppy sketchup texture splash look. I made it so that the sides of the sandbox go out which makes it easier to get into. The tires will be a bit of work to texture properly but they need to most help :). I'll try to use the textures from some kart like you suggested. That would take care of the last visual eyesore in the arena.

I actually wasn't as hard as i expected. Here's a picture showing the new textured tires, made from the tire textures on suzanne's kart.

Wow, thanks!

Does anybody think it's worth putting in the add-ons? It's one of my less inspired tracks, but i enjoy it for myself at least.
