Trainingroom

Shall I use this two alternatives together (like the Library has two different Alternatives randomly) or only one of these?

Yes, I would use them both and maybe another dummy or something different for more variation.

And for the walls perhaps anything dojo-esque?

Nay, walls should have weapons crossed over shields and hanging banners (or weapons over piled skulls and bloody totems), in fact i would remove that ugly "pole with nails" with a better and easier to recognise model. I dont think putting chinese or japonese influence fits at all (unless you plan to have karateka rats and ninja turtles). We had a few models ready for the training room already:

Yeah...maybe asia influcene is not matching...but we should give it a try (maybe).

I like that one: http://opengameart.org/content/training-dummy but what he said it is high-poly in the description or what does he mean?

Then I can maybe replace that one with the "pole with nails" as you said, Danimal. Or maybe the http://opengameart.org/content/weapon-rack if there is a solid wall behind, can calculate it with the Code like calculating the Centers.

I personally like this one more:
http://opengameart.org/content/leather-training-dummy - Stiches can be exagerated to make it better looking and maybe adding a few circular target marker on them

and this weapon rack is better:
http://opengameart.org/content/wooden-w ... aining-set

Can those dummies be animated? in that case i could do a few of them

I have 3DS Files of them, so you can import them into Blender and animate them. I will put then now in the AssetSources/Models Folder and then Subfolder named "Jannik".

honestly...I am more a Coder then a Artist....so....I dont know, but I love everything that goes in the "steampunk" direction, like the Spiketrap...or at least some basic mechanics....don´t know if its matching.

With animation I thought you mean that they interact with the Creature when the hit it during training...like punched back or something like that.

And maybe matching to the Treasury and Library...dont know :)

Exactly, moving when being punched, or if that is too much work, just a constant animation like the ones from the original DK.
By the way i like the one made from wood and a helmet

Edit: i found this one around:

That dummy looks very similar to the one in the first post. Is the one in the screenshot open source? Then you could simply add some weapons to it.

BTW, do you only use libre graphics for Agent Keeper or unfree as well?

so i dont think it would be a good idea to use it, they are way too similar

I want to use only hand-made (free) ressources, made by me or friends or just you people here. The one in the first post is made by a friend of me, he also allowed me to upload it to OpenGameart. Should do that someday.. ^^

I think there is nothing unfree until now. At least I hope so. Some pieces are clearly to close to the original one and have to be replaced before this gets too popular.

The one from danimal looks different enough (in my opinion) and I like the style alot. You continue working on that piece? :)

cool to hear that, can´t wait to see the results!

Yep, have to replace or at least manipulate them step-by-step. He made them some time ago for his own small dungeon keeper clone. He give it up because of time conflicts with his work.

You mean more then three? No, thats fine. I will use all your models of course, like the unique design. This one now is also cool, what is the stuff at the lowest part? A rotating knife?

Yup, be ready to hit and dodge with this dummy or get a nasty lesson; that lower blade will have some nice blood stains.

Sorry about the time i went MIA, but i got kind of busy and my city had its annual fair so i didnt touch blender for a while.
Even thougth you didnt ask for this one i made a new model, a target for ranged creatures, because they also like to train ;)

Its lacking normals and animations, but it wont take long given how simple it is and then i will move on to the previous ones.
