[Poll] Do you use TCS and ABS ?

This is a tricky poll, not only because of many options.
And yeah I picked the last one.

I think by default they are disabled, so I never tried nor missed them.

My answer would be "No, didn't know about them, so I'll try them out but will probably keep the vanilla configuration when playing".

I think it's interesting to have configuration possibilities such as these ones. I haven't tried them yet, but if it does make driver "close to most games" (i.e. quite easy), then I guess some people might benefit from it, if they just want to enjoy the scenery while playing with a low difficulty.

Now, I find it good that they are not activated by default. First time I played SR, it was difficult as hell, so I had to learn that I should not try to drive super fast, and that I had to watch for gravel/sand/water or difficult curves. That makes the game really interesting in my opinion, but maybe driving with ABS from time to time could be relaxing :-)

@Akien thanks. I fully agree with this. I couldn't put it better.
This is nearly the same as "No, makes driving slow", and it's a good answer.

Looks like only 2 people here on forums drive.. or you have enough of my polls :D
Anyways I hope the message is clear, just from the poll answers.
Driving in SR with TCS is like licking a lollipop through its package.
Surely wasn't ever meant to be used for regular play.

Reading this comment, I thought that many players might be surprised/rebuked by the driving mechanics at first, because they were not expecting a realistic rally game (though it's all in the name!) but more their average racing game with beautiful libre graphics :-)

These players might end up thinking the game is bogus (such as the one in the comment linked above), even though it's just their driving which is bogus ;-)
So I thought, maybe there could be a pop-up when you start the game which explains the Stunt Rally gameplay and so on, maybe also explaining that many gameplay elements can be configured in the options, such as enabling TCS and ABS for players who want an easier stroll in awesome 3D sceneries.

Of course the popup would have a "Thanks, don't show this next time" checkbox so that it's not displayed each time for seasoned players. WDYT?

Exactly.
But, I'm not gonna promote TCS in any way. It's more likely that I'll add a "(not recommended)" text near it.
I don't really see much difference on easy sim with TCS, is there ? Or maybe easy sim should turn on TCS and ABS.

About that "welcome screen" menu - it's planned, but I don't yet know what to put on it. See this post viewtopic.php?f=79&t=5581#p57016
