O3- Air [in ver 2.1]

Here is my fourth track for Stunt Rally: It’s “Air”.

The track is very simple: It is basicly the good old figure-8 track. But there is no bridge, instead there are two ramps. The jump works forwards and backwards at 90 km/h or 100 km/h, respectively. If you drive forwards, you will eventually be slowed down by a water pool after the jump. If you drive backwards, you will hit a banked turn after the jump.
Scenery used: Moss. It is my first non-surrealistic theme, yay!

Honestly, this track started only as an experiment. Currently, I am still not very happy with the track, so do not consider it finished. Actually, I still consider this track as “experimental”. Which means I am very open for suggestions this time. I especially want this track to be bump-free but I do not manage it. (The puddles don’t count of course!) By the way: I am aware of the “align-to-road” (or whatever the name) tool but as soon as I press [U], the editor crashes! :( I’ll probably open a new thread for this.
Maybe I just throw the track away and start over. ;)

This is my last track for now. Do not expect any updates from me whatsoever in the next week, I will be quite busy with other stuff. So please have patience. Thanks.

Edit: Version 2 released! See here! Oh, and this is obviously not my last track. :)

It is short and simple.
I like that it's in Moss (only 2 tracks were there).

I would suggest making the sharp corners banked (so you can drive faster, and generally Moss has many banked turns).
I don't know if it is by design so that the green-yellow trees are lower and the green-blueish are higher (I mean this separation), also kind of low vegetation density (Moss is dense like jungle) and did you remove the near road plant ?
I can fix it, but since you want to update anyway, I will wait.

And yeah, we need to find out why is Align [U] crashing. Are you on Linux or Windows ? Are you able to build from sources ?

Air version 2

Finally, the [U] issue has been worked out and I am now able to smoothen the road with this tool.

So I instantly started working on this track again, and here is version 2. Version 2 features a much smoother road and another banked turn. The starting position has been changed and I removed one water puddle because it is not neccessary anymore. I added more vegetation, but I intentionally left the two ramps tree-free so your view is not obstructed by trees when you are going to jump.

Now I am much happier with this track but I am still open for suggestions.

Looks better.
Ok it was easier to edit it instead of writing all what I'd want to do.
Changelog:
- It was a bit bumpy all the way, so I smoothed it, using filter [F] with bigger filter radius [keys 2 and 1] like 3.0 or even more and going with it along all the road.
- I've put some objects, you may even won't see them, if you stay on road, but you can hit some if you slide away.
- Since this is a fast track, I banked a bit the other 2 corners.
- I decreased a bit tree count (since we were hitting already 800k tris and this is a small track) and added 1 plant near road only.
I'll include it as O3-Air, if you're okay with it.

I do not understand why you are so obsessive adding objects everywhere. Whatever, it is not that important. The changes you made are so small I barely even notice them, it seems to me on the first look. On the second look (and drive) I think the track drives smoother now, which is good. And the landing seems to work much better now. Overall, I like the changes, go ahead. :)

PS: Please stop asking me for permission each time. If I would not wish that the track gets spread, copied, edited, (whatever), I would not have posted into the Internet at all. ;) For the future simply assume that you already have that permission.

Cool.
Well I add objects on outside of corners (usually on smaller tracks) so beginning players would hit them and (hopefully) have more fun (while probably feeling not good, because of being bad at driving :)), I also sometimes hit them on purpose.
PS. OK. I just don't want to ruin your tracks, (while I edit it before it gets released), or go way off what you wanted the track to be. Or spoil the fun of editing it yourself.
