T6- Sunset [in ver 2.1]

Now I contribute my fifth track for Stunt Rally: It’s “Sunset”.

It is my first forest themed track. The trees is a bit based on “T3-Orange” but as this track is set in a sunset I chose a new track ID for this track.

The track itself is rather easy to drive, I think. There are some wide curves and some rather sharp ones. There is also the one or another banked curve but they are not very spectacular. I tried very hard to avoid bumps and I think I succeded.

Basicly I just created this track for the scenery and to have another track with lots of orange in it. There is also one small area without trees so you’re able to see the sun. :-)

Cool. Quite fast.
I would add some rocks, maybe ferns and more grass, because it looks empty low, while having big trees.
Also could decorate terrain more, near road.

I think you are right, if I think about it it seems strange that there is so few grass. Sadly I am unable to decorate the terrain with objects unless they are statc. It is a similar issue with the [U] key crash, but this time, I need the key [C] for the dynamic objects and the editor crashes as soon as I press [C]. :( I will come back to this in another thread.

Sunset version 2

I have made slight adjustments to the grass in my track. Now it’s twice the amount and a bit “browner”. Attached to this post is Sunset version 2. I want to add that my main goal for this track was to make the orangest track in Stunt Rally. Did I achieve this goal?

Grass is much better now. Yeah, it's certainly most ogrange track.
It'll be in next ver as T6-Sunset. Although I'd like to add some more detail to it if you don't.

Personally I would like to see some objects on this track, especially in the sharp banked corners. It would make much sense in this case. Now object simulaton works for me but for some strange reason I can’t rotate objects (which is strange because they were rotatable before …). :x Oh, and the preview image looks bad (bad shadow) despite I used the highest shadow setting :(
I am now too lazy to fix it by myself, could someone else do it?

I'll do it. Wanted to put objects too.
Ah, now there are modes, for editing objects: keys 1 - move, 2 rotate, 3 scale. Check out on Input/help page (alt-I).
No idea yet what's with the shadow, I'll check it btw.

Ok fixed few things.
Changelog:
-added objects
-2nd road material
-more of 2nd terrain layer
-1 more tree and rock
-other place for track view
There is this square shadow issue at camera angle near sun dir. Looks like this was it, and on lower shadow size looks even worse.
